Who We Are

United Way of Scott County was formed in 1992 by founding board members Clara Adkins, Jerry Bloom, Kevin Collins, Sue Cravens, Donna Faris, Vickie Gasser, Ann Haw, Wilma Hollis, LaVerne Hubbard, Mary Hunley, Steve Jewell, Chris Johanningsmeier, Pat McClain, Dennis Nicholas, Steve Phillips, Jim Railing, Denita Reynolds, Bill Riggs, Marvin Sandlin, Tom Springstun, Kenny Stutsman, Denny Wilson and Terry Wolka. During the first campaign, these board members raised $67,000 for our community.

United Way of Scott County works in partnership with government, schools, businesses and other non-profits to identify the underlying causes of the most significant local issues, develops strategies and pulls together financial and human resources to address them, and measures the results.
