FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
United Way hires new Executive Director.
Nancy Riley enjoys helping other people. She has a wonderful chance to do that after being named executive director of the United Way of Scott County. “This gives me a great new opportunity to make a difference in this community,” she said.
Nancy is not a newcomer to the United Way. She has been the Administrative Assistant, therefore having the knowledge and experience needed to step up and take on this new task. Nor is she new to Scott County, having raised 4 children here, she has had the opportunity to watch the county grow and change over the last 30 years. She is active in the community, serving as the local 211 Coordinator, Reality Store, and past volunteer for Worth the Wait program.
She said her goals are to make this year’s fundraising campaign better than it ever has been, as well as raising year-round awareness about the United Way’s work.
Nancy stated, “I have the wonderful help of a terrific board and volunteers to make this Ship of Scott County sail better than ever, and my new role now is the person who keeps the ship on the right path.”
