The United Way of Scott County celebrated their move today, Wednesday September the 7th, 2011 with a Ribbon Cutting and Open house at 60 N Main St, Scottsburg, Indiana.
United Way Executive Director Nancy Riley and Board turned the event into an open house for the new facility by inviting agencies which receive funding through Untied Way and the community that supports their efforts.
Roger Frick with the Indiana United Way Association was present as a special guest speaker for the board meeting that followed. Several of the organizations were represented which are supported by United Way.
“We wanted to celebrate with the community,” Riley said. “So many people donated. So many people came together.”
“We are excited about our new office and feel its new location is more accommodating to our community.”
“We look forward to many more years as an active part of Scott County, and would like to thank all our agencies and volunteers for the support they continue to give.”
